FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia (FBAU) procures goods and services for:
- utilisation in the day to day operations of the FBAU business, and
- complementing solutions acquired by FBAU customers.
The Australian government’s decision to introduce a Modern Slavery Act 2018 is fully supported by FUJIFILM Business Innovation. FUJIFILM Business Innovation has been a UNGC Participant member since 2010 supporting the ten principles that pave the way to address human rights, labour rights, environmental initiatives, anti-corruption and the fight against slavery in supply chains.
Approach
Our local stakeholders increasingly wish to learn more about the environmental and labour practices of our suppliers, their record and implementation of health and safety practices, and our responses to the complex problem of conflict minerals in our upstream supply chain.
As such, our procurement processes and policies rigour help FBAU establish sustainable relationships with suppliers in accordance with our corporate social responsibly activities, our risk management practices, and our corporate governance policies.
We ensure our approach for:
- fair and ethical transactions that create value and benefit to our shareholders, group businesses, customers, suppliers and broader society,
- providing equal opportunity to all prospective, capable suppliers,
- upholding the highest standards or integrity and honesty,
- enabling delivery of the highest levels of quality, service, performance and innovation to FBAU and FBAU Customers, and
- sharing our sustainability standards and working with our suppliers to improve environmental and corporate social responsibilities outcomes.
The FBAU procurement function:
- have established policies, procedures and guidelines for engaging and assessing the suitability of third-party providers. This allows us to proactively evaluate and minimise risk in the supply chain.
- seek to work with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliant businesses to ensure the effort to procure services sustainably is managed in an end-to-end process through the direct and indirect supply chain.
- as part of the broader Fujifilm Business group of companies in the Asia Pacific region, utilises the SAP Business Network platform to conduct its sourcing and contract activities (Ariba S2C module) through to its purchase ordering, goods receipt and invoicing management (Ariba P2P module) for indirect procurement activities.
Supplier Diversity & Social Enterprises
Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia (FBAU), including its subsidiaries and entities operationally controlled by FBAU, seeks to enhance supplier diversity with respect to procurement of goods and services by supporting:
(i) the use of certified businesses owned or operated by underrepresented groups (e.g first nations, female, people with disabilities, etc.), and
(ii) the use of businesses classified as Social Enterprises, (together defined as “Diverse Suppliers”).
FBAU objectives:
- Seek out opportunities where Diverse Suppliers can provide price competitive, high quality goods or services and whose business can (i) compliment the delivery and use of FBAU products and services to FBAU’s customer base, or provide value to the day to day operations of the FBAU business.
- Communicate the importance of Diverse Suppliers to internal and external FBAU stakeholders and the impact to the communities we operate in.
- Formulate the inclusion of Diverse Suppliers as a part of our procurement methodology.
- Support dialogue and value creation with our own key suppliers to expand the use of certified Diverse Suppliers through industry.
Code of Conduct
The Supplier Code of Conduct establishes our expectations of suppliers, and their supply chain, in providing goods and services to FBAU. We look for suppliers who share our commitment to internationally recognised standards and appropriate codes of practice, striving for best practice and continuous improvement in meeting the ten principles of the UNGC.

Whistleblowing Policy and Procedure
FBAU encourages suppliers to help identify wrongdoing that may not be uncovered unless there is a safe and secure means for disclosing via various channels. You can access our Whistleblowing Policy which outlines the requirement and process for reporting suspected fraud, negligence, default, breach of trust, breach of duty, risk of modern slavery or other improper conduct that directly impacts FBAU or the tiers of FBAU’s supply chain community.

Supplier Assessment Forms
Before FBAU enters into any contractual agreement or significant change in scope to existing supplier arrangements, there is a need to evaluate and assess if suppliers meet specific criteria, including but not limited to:
- Financial solvency
- Ownership declarations
- Corporate Social responsibility actions
- Capability to perform and supply

Suppliers will be invited to register a free account with SAP Ariba to complete our Fujifilm onboarding forms and take part in any Request for Information, Quotation or Tendering processes. Such Rfx processes may be for opportunities across Australia or the wider Asia Pacific region.
Purchase Order Terms and Conditions
FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia issues Purchase Orders (PO) governed by standard terms and conditions. Unless a separate agreement is in place between a supplier and FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia, the standard PO terms and conditions apply.

SAP Ariba enables collaboration between buyers and sellers via its online platform. New and existing suppliers of FBAU can access material that enables a guided workflow for either setup of new or for amending existing SAP Ariba user accounts.
All suppliers must register at a minimum a free SAP Standard account to interact with FBAU for indirect procurement.
