Diversity and Inclusion

Creating a workplace where we celebrate our differences

At Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia, we are fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every individual is valued, respected and included. Our approach to diversity and inclusion is anchored in fair and equitable business practices that support our overarching goals to create a workplace where everyone can bring the best version of themselves to work with the opportunity to thrive in their success.

Message from our Chief People & Corporate Services Officer:

"We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace is key to driving innovation, fostering creative solutions, and deepening our understanding of the communities we serve. That’s why we’ve made an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity a core part of how we do business." - Rob Bonotto

Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Our Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee are the beating heart of our D&I efforts. The Committee plays a pivotal role in driving our commitment to inclusivity, working to ensure every employee is respected and diversity is celebrated.

Our D&I Committee meets regularly with representation at an Executive, Senior, and Manager level to maintain a consistent focus on reporting, measurement and improvement so we are always driving efforts and progress forward across the entire organisation, and at every level.

Employee Resource Groups

We empower our employees to take the lead in creating a more inclusive and supportive workplace through the formation of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). These are more than just networking groups. By bringing people together beyond their daily roles, our ERGs help us build stronger connections, foster cross-cultural understanding and create a workplace that truly reflects our diverse community.

First Nations

Formed in 2022 and coinciding with the launch of our first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan, our First Nations ERG educates employees about the culture and history of Australia’s First Nations people, engages with local communities to deepen understanding, and empowers employees to support First Nations initiatives.

The First Nations ERG has provided scholarships for Indigenous students and sponsoring Indigenous education programs, in addition to facilitating cultural awareness training and informational activities during National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week.

Pride

The Pride ERG champions our inclusive culture for LGBTQIA+ employees and the wider community. We ensure work is a safe workplace where every employee feels empowered to bring their whole selves to work while educating our workforce on the importance of inclusion and allyship. Pride also supports key events such as Pride Month and Wear it Purple Week among others.

We are proud members of Pride in Diversity, a leading national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to LGBTQIA+ workplace inclusion. We are actively working towards our submission to the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), the definitive national benchmark on LGBTQIA+ workplace inclusion.

Elevate

Elevate is a community that champions women’s causes in the workplace and provides a platform for growth and development. Through informative sessions and engaging events they inspire women to strive for excellence, influence meaningful change, and support each other’s growth.

In October 2023, the Elevate ERG won the Women's Agenda ‘Employer Initiative of the Year’ for our progress in supporting female success, getting women and men to work in partnership and creating positive pathways for emerging women leaders.

Community Champions

The Community Champions ERG addresses social and environmental issues by supporting causes and initiatives that align with our values. Whether through raising awareness, volunteering, or fundraising, this group is committed to making a positive impact on our broader communities. Over the past year, the Community Champions ERG has supported valuable initiatives such as Australia’s Harmony Day, The Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea, Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout, STEPtember for Cerebral Palsy, and the charities FoodBank and Night Ninjas.

“It’s remarkable to think of the profound impact that can be achieved in our communities when many individuals each contribute a small part. Together, we can genuinely create a lasting and meaningful difference.” - Jason Wornham, General Manager, CodeBlue & Community Champions ERG Lead Sponsor
