Check your EP-BB communication status from the printer’s control panel
Your multifunction printer is entitled to Electronic Partnership Broadband (EP-BB); but is the device connected to it?
Let’s find it out:
1. Click the login button on the home screen. Select “Administrator” and enter “11111” in the username field (if passcode is required, enter “x-admin”).
2. Click the gear button on the left.
3. Click “Device”.
4. Click “Maintenance”.
5. Click “Check EP Connection”.
6. Click “Check Connection”.
7. If the message shows “Connection to Remote Center has been established”, the device is already connected.
Click “Confirm”. (Click the back arrow to return to the home screen. Click the login button to logout.)
If the message shows “Failed to connect to Remote Center”, the device is already connected but the connection is lost.
Click “Confirm. (Click the back arrow to return to the home screen. Click the login button to logout.)
