Installation

If your IT representative can be present when our Installation Engineer arrives, that will help speed up the installation process.

We’ll need a port on your company network to install your new Multifunction Device (MFD) or wide-format device. Please make sure you have an active network port available with a compliant network cable.

Please also prepare the following information about your company network for our installation team:

  • IP address
  • Subnet Mask
  • Gateway
  • DNS and WINS (if applicable)

Print Drivers

Our engineer will install print drivers as outlined in your service contract. If the print drivers are being shared from a server, our engineer will assist your IT representative to load these.

For MFD print drivers, please let our Engineer know if you would like us to set any specific default print settings (such as double-sided prints, paper size, black-and-white only, etc.).

Scanning

FUJIFILM Business Innovation MFDs can support the following scanning settings:

  • Scan to network
  • Scan to shared folder
  • Scan to email

The configuration process is different for each of these settings, so please let our Engineer know which one you prefer as your default and gather the appropriate details so we can set it up correctly.

Scan to Network or Scan to Shared Folder
If you would like to scan documents directly to a shared folder or network location, please prepare the following information:

  • IP address/Hostname
  • Name of server/PC
  • Name of shared folder
  • Username and password of user(s) to be granted access to the shared folder.

Scan to Email
If you would like to set the default setting as scan to email, please prepare the following information:

  • Email address for the MFD
  • SMTP IP address/Hostname
  • SMTP authentication credential (if required)
  • If you would like to setup LDAP, please prepare the following information:
  • LDAP IP Address/Hostname
  • LDAP authentication credential (if required)
  • Search string lookup information.

EP-BB

Electronic Partnership Broadband (EP-BB) Service

Many of our devices come with a built-in service called Electronic Partnership Broadband (EP-BB). This service monitors your device and usage to help keep it in top running condition without you needing to intervene.

With EP-BB, your device can:

  • Proactively order toner and consumables before they run out
  • Report your print volumes automatically, so you don’t need to record and send them yourself
  • Identify potential faults before they occur to prevent down time
  • Create reports about paper and energy consumption to improve sustainability performance.

To install EP-BB, please prepare the following before our Engineer arrives:

  • A fixed-line Internet connection
  • Port 443 for SOAP over HTTPS (SSL) enabled

User Training

For every new device we install, we’ll arrange a free training session for your team led by one of our specialists. For most devices these sessions last around 20 minutes, but for wide-format or specialty equipment they can be up to one hour.

These are best done in small groups, so we recommend no more than six users per session.

We can also help schedule additional paid training sessions beyond the first three months after your devices are installed; please contact your Account Manager or our Contact Centre if these are of interest.

Amendment and Cancellation

We hope this information helps you plan for the installation and ensure a smooth deployment.

Please note that if we are unable to complete an installation due to site issue(s), there may be a charge of $145 (excl. GST) for the Installation Engineer to make additional visits to complete the installation.

Cancelling your Installation or Training appointment less than three working days in advance may incur a fee of $145 (excl. GST). Rescheduled installations are subject to availability.
