SAMBA^® G5L - Overview

Samba^®printhead technology provides the speed, versatility, and reliability suitable for a broad range of demanding graphics and specialty applications. The Samba printhead leverages the accuracy and precision of Silicon MEMS (Si-MEMS) processing with the reliability and life of sputtered PZT in an ingenious parallelogram shape to deliver breathtaking image quality at near analog production speeds.

Scalability is the key to the Samba G5L technology, having a single head print width of 43 mm (1.7 inches) it can be easily configured to make a print bar of any width. Samba is the proven leader in high speed applications such as high quality corrugated packaging and textiles. The unique parallelogram design of the Samba nozzle plate enables simplified printhead stitching, resulting in a very narrow, 1200 dpi print-bar. The Samba G5L with it larger native drop size aimed at single pass applications with even higher ink coverage for color rich prints.
