FUJIFILM in Malta

A photographic retail outlet named "The Royal Studio" opened its doors to the public in the year 1913, run by John Ciancio who by profession was a renowned photographer. This Photo Studio was situated in Old Theatre Street, in the heart of the city Valletta. In the early sixties, John's son, Albert, started operating an Import Agency which initiated a business relationship with Fuji Film Co.Ltd. of Japan. In the Mid-seventies it became apparent that the distribution of Fujifilm products was always on the increase and therefore required a professional management and operation consequently "The Royal Studio (1913) Co.Ltd" was formed.

To meet the ever increasing demand for Fujifilm products and the Company's services it became necessary to invest in new premises which to-day house a High-Tech, professional laboratory, modern offices, large stores, an attractive showroom and a car park. The Company's main imports are (FUJI) films, paper, chemicals, optical goods, Video & Audio cassettes, Data media, Digital products, Graphic arts and high-tech photographic laboratory equipment. While the services, which go beyond one's expectations, include processing of films and slides and photographic printing from negatives, slides or any digital media.
