The FUJIFILM Dimatix Skyfire printhead leverages the accuracy and precision of Silicon MEMS (Si-MEMS) processing with the reliability and life of sputtered PZT in a jet design aimed at supporting broad ink compatibility and maximizing productivity. Physical Characteristics of SKYFIRE The head outer dimensions are 113 mm in the width direction, 85.9 mm in the height direction and 28.3 mm in the feeding direction. The nozzle plate is designed for a small space of 12.5 mm in the feeding direction.

Ink Laydown is 10.8 gm per m2 at a print speed of 132 m/min in 600 x 600 dpi mode, which is the standard condition. When printing at 1200 dpi in the feeding direction, a Laydown of 21.7 gm/m2 at a speed of 66 m/min, and at 300 dpi in the feeding direction, 5.4 gm/m2 at a transport speed of 264 m/min are possible.
