Impact of Microsoft released the September 2021 Security Update on ApeosWare Management Suite

We would like to inform you about printing issues with a Windows shared printer and a workaround after applying the "September 2021 Security Update".

Problem Description

A printing function becomes unavailable with the error "0x0000011b", if a user prints via a Windows share printer to ApeosWare Management Suite. In addition, a user cannot connect to a Windows shared printer with the same error code.

Condition of Environment

The problem occurs after applying the "September 2021 Security Update" from Microsoft Corporation to your server or print client.

Workaround

Please use the LPR queue instead of a Windows shared printer. For information about accepting print jobs in the LPR queue, see the following Guide:
