FUJIFILM Australia launches “instax WIDE 400TM

Take better wide-format photos than ever before with the new instax WIDE 400 – designed to capture big moments, incredible landscapes and make room for more.

Australia, June 18, 2024 – FUJIFILM Corporation announces that the “instax WIDE 400TM” (WIDE 400), from the instax series of analogue instant cameras, will be released on 1st July, 2024 in Australia.

The WIDE 400 is the successor model to the instax WIDE 300 which was released in 2014. This analogue instant camera prints photos on double-card-sized wide format film, allowing for more detail in every print. Building on the WIDE 300, the WIDE 400 design has been simplified to integrate the camera’s power function into the camera lens, just like other modern instax cameras. In addition, the new self-timer function makes taking group photos easy.

To complement the launch of the WIDE 400, Fujifilm is also introducing a camera case specifically designed to match the colour of the camera as well as a multi pack of film containing 40 shots of instax WIDE film.

“The WIDE 400 is made for capturing wide scenery and big family moments” said Daniel Paul, Head of Product Marketing Operations for instax. “We’re fortunate in Australia to have some of the most amazing landscapes, and the wider film format and simplicity of operation allows users to take even more beautiful photos than ever before.”

Since its original launch in 1998, the instax series of instant cameras has embraced trends and evolving technologies with time and expanded its lineup to include not only analogue instant cameras, but also hybrid instant cameras using digital technology, smartphone printers and palm-sized digital cameras.

Wide-format film offers the ability to capture a broader range of photographic scenes, making the WIDE 400 particularly well-suited for group shots and landscape photography. Its unique capability to capture the subject and the surrounding environment allows for creation of captivating images that fit more into the frame.

Fujifilm will continue to expand the world of the “instax ” instant photo system that allows people to enjoy on-the-spot photo printing.
