Defending Champions Phil Wizard (CAN) And Ayumi (JP) Look To Retain FUJIFILM INSTAX Undisputed Masters Crown During The Notorious IBE

Amsterdam July 31st, 2023 - The Notorious IBE is nearing its 25-year anniversary and FUJIFILM INSTAX Undisputed Masters is excited to celebrate this milestone with them. The global breaking competition series fits right in with this cultural dance festival as both share a unique blend of competition, culture and lifestyle.

The Notorious IBE sets itself apart 25 years after Nighttown in Rotterdam organized the first cultural dance festival of its kind. Initially a two-day festival with multiple stages showcasing all elements of hip-hop. However, The Notorious IBE grew rapidly, and an additional day was added, making it a three-day festival full of battles, dance, music, knowledge-sharing, culture, and community. In 2005, when Nighttown closed its doors, the festival was on the lookout for a new location that could house all its ambitions. In 2007, The Notorious IBE found the perfect location in the city of Heerlen in the South of the Netherlands, where it remains today. Since day one, Heerleners have welcomed The Notorious IBE with wide, open arms. With their support and the support of the local Government, the festival grew into the strong community festival it is today.

Last year, for the first time, FUJIFILM INSTAX Undisputed Masters joined The Notorious IBE. The global breaking competition and the cultural dance festival are a perfect fit as breaking is an inherent part of their DNA, and both consistently aim to give a platform to the global breaking community and help it grow.

FUJIFILM INSTAX Undisputed Masters routinely sets the bar for breaking events around the world and is seen as one of the most sought after competitions. The competition highlights the huge strength of being part of the community and gives newcomers an opportunity to learn about the sport on the road to Breaking’s inclusion at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The directors of hit film “StreetDance 3D” now bring you an adrenaline fuelled, high energy deep dive into the world of breakdancing with the film Breaking Point. The film had its international theatrical release on July 14th, three weeks before the Notorious IBE. The cast includes stars like Jilou from Germany and MadMax from Belgium who will be competing at the FUJIFILM INSTAX Undisputed Masters at IBE.
