Fujifilm (Thailand) Ltd. organized a seminar entitled “Future Printing Trends with Flexographic Technology” to make further inroads into the printing and packaging business. In collaboration with its partners - Esko, Techno Global Graphics, and Press Systems Group, the company presented state-of-the-art technologies and unveiled printing and packaging trends that meet the demands in the new era where efficiency, convenience, and eco-friendliness are top priorities. At the seminar, Fujifilm also showcased its eco-friendly water-washable Flexo plate “Flenex FW.” In her informative talk, Ms. Mayuree Paklamjeak, a packaging expert with over 40-year experience in the industry, shared an overview of the latest printing and packaging trends in Thailand and the world. She shed light on how businesses can quickly and efficiently adapt to provide a one-stop solution to meet the demands of the future printing landscape.

On printing and packaging trends, Ms. Mayuree Paklamjeak, Advisor to the Thai Packaging Design Association and packaging expert, said, “The value of global printing market reached USD1 trillion in 2021, a growth rate of 5.5%, compared to the previous year. Megatrends namely the pandemic, globalization, and climate change have changed the landscape of the printing and packaging industry. Major shifts include the use of low-carbon packaging; tailor-made product packaging of custom sizes and formats; the use of recyclable materials; and the use of printing ink with less than 1% of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound). As for Thailand, the printing and packing industry has grown in line with the growing food & beverage and export sectors. The current value of Thai printing market is at 300 billion baht.” Ms. Mayuree also explained that “Modern-day consumers pay attention to high-quality, convenient and eco-friendly packaging.
