This is a collection of examples of compression pressure measurement using Prescale.
Six examples of Vacuum heat pressure devices, Vacuum laminator, Stacking or laminating machines for multilayer ceramic devices, Wafer bonding equipment thermocompression bonds, Fuel cell stacks and Assembly of mobile phones are posted.
Table of contents
Industry: Electronic components, OLEDs, Touchscreens, Print circuit boards, Equipment such as semiconductors that are used as manufacturing and development machines
Challenges: The devices are expected or required to maintain uniform surface pressure as long as possible to improve the quality of processed products.
Benefits of Prescale: Reduce of pressure failure or yield, Quality improvement
Industry: Solar cells (Photovoltaic module manufacturing)
Challenges: If the press pressure is not even when this is done, defects will occur, such as damage to cells or wrinkles in the protective film.
Benefits of Prescale: reduce material loss (or) reduction of material loss, Time saving
Industry: Manufacture of laminated ceramics, Ceramic substrates and packages, PCBs, Electronic components for automobiles and mobile phones, Laminated devices
Challenges: Need to press in extremely high precision to avoid changes in electrical characteristics due to problems of poor adhesion or non-uniform thickness, and to avoid electrical connection failures due to displacement of the electrode pattern.
Benefits of Prescale: Yield improvement, Quality improvement, Accuracy improvement
Industry: Manufacturing (e.g., Bonding equipment, MEMS, Silicon wafers, Compound semiconductors, CMOS image sensors)
Challenges: If the pressure applied to bond the wafers or substrates is not constant, problems such as defective sealing, uneven bonding strength, and pattern width unevenness may occur.
Benefits of Prescale: Reduce the adjustment time and effort for investigating the cause
Industry: Fuel cell manufacture
Challenges: Problems such as lower power generation efficiency or fuel leaks may occur if the clamp load is too low/high.
Benefits of Prescale: Lower defect rate, Higher quality, Better maintenance
Industry: Manufacture of mobile phones, smartphones, and tablet computers
Challenges: Need to ensure that uniform pressure is applied by the assembly jigs during the assembly of waterproof devices.
Benefits of Prescale: Yield improvement, Quality improvement, Accuracy improvement
