Cardiovascular diseases, including heart diseases has the highest mortality rate globally. Heart disease is caused mainly by contraction due to arteriosclerosis of the coronary arteries which provide oxygen and nutrition to the heart, resulting in a worsened blood flow.
Most heart diseases can be prevented by adjusting one’s lifestyle such as diet and physical activity.
When there is severe calcification in the coronary artery, it may be hard to evaluate the intravascular lumen using contrast-enhanced cardiac CT. By performing cardiac CT without contrast-enhancement and calculating the calcium score, an appropriate examination can be selected depending on the condition of the patient. With Calcium Scoring, calcification of the coronary artery area and fluctuation in the score can be monitored over time.
On the lower right corner of the viewer, the results of the calcium score are displayed per coronary artery. The results are updated in real time depending on coloring and modification.
With the reporting function of Calcium Scoring, you can generate the analysis results easily with automatic item entries and prior registration of comments.
In addition, analysis images can be stored in the color DICOM format or BMP format, and moreover, a list of analysis results can be exported in the text format (CSV).
