In Mongolia, cancer and lifestyle diseases such as ischemic heart disease are leading causes of death*1. The number of patients dying or falling critically ill as a result of these diseases can be reduced through early disease detection followed by appropriate treatment and health guidance. However, health screening services in Mongolia are not as widely available as in Japan, which frequently makes it difficult to detect diseases in their early stages.

The first NURA center in Mongolia opened in Ulaanbaatar in September 2023. Fujifilm shares its expertise it has gained from operating NURA centers in India with the Tavan Bogd Group that has been working with Fujifilm in its photo imaging business since 1995. The Japanese-style high-quality health screening service has been well received by users, with more than 15,000 people already using the service.

In order to make NURA health screening service accessible to more individuals, Fujifilm and the Tavan Bogd Group have made the decision to open a second NURA center. The new center is the largest NURA health screening center, equipped with 4 CT scans and 3 mammography systems. Compared to the first center, the second center can accommodate up to 150 people per day, approximately double the capacity. Fujifilm and the Tavan Bogd Group will expand the establishment of NURA centers in Mongolia as well as in neighboring countries.
