Notification on unexpected error 016-749 on User Interface panel when printing large volume (Above 149 pages on accumulated print job).

Dear Customers,
We would like to thank you for your continued patronage towards Fujifilm products and services. We have identified a potential unexpected behavior when printing on FUJIFILM single and multi-function printers. Please refer to the following pointers below for further details and applicable interim solution.
Issue Summary
When you print using the affected FUJIFILM single and multi-function printers, error 016-749 may occur when the number of queued print jobs exceed 149 (jobs) ; this will result in automatic deletion of the job, requiring resubmission.
The printer will continue printing after the error occurs ; the number of queued jobs will decrease. When the number of queued jobs decreased to 149 or less, the printer accepts new jobs. Those accepted jobs will be printed normally.
Customers can miss the cancelled jobs if they submit many jobs because the printer appears to keep printing normally.
This error may occur in the following situations:
- The printer cannot continue printing because the trays are out of paper.
- Many print jobs have been submitted in a short period of time.
- Note It has been observed that this issue does not happen/occur on printers with facsimile functions.
Affected Models and Firmware
Affected models and their current status are listed in the following table. For “preparing” models, we are preparing the fixed firmware. We will update the status separately.

Workaround
Please follow the steps below as a workaround for this issue:
- Ensure that the trays have paper. Depending on the situation, frequent refills are required.
- Avoid submitting a large number of jobs in a short time.
Solution
Upgrading the machine to the latest Firmware can fix this issue. We have released the latest versions on our support website.
There are some models that require extra caution when you install the firmware. Please read the notes and cautions on the download page before the firmware installation.
