Countermeasure for unintended data loss when stacking DocuWorks documents in DocuWorks Desk

We have found an unintended data loss issue when stacking DocuWorks documents under certain conditions in DocuWorks 9 (versions 9.0.0, 9.0.3, 9.0.4).
DocuWorks 9 update 9.0.5 can now be downloaded to fix this issue. If you are using DocuWorks 9 (versions 9.0.0, 9.0.3, 9.0.4), please promptly update to version 9.0.5.

Conditions
Under DocuWorks Desk Options, [Edit in Network Folder] is set to [Copy to Temporary Folder and Edit] (DocuWorks 9 default setting)
Issue description
When stacking DocuWorks documents in a shared folder via DocuWorks Desk, if any of the target files is being opened by another user, the stacked file may be lost.
Also, if a binder or container in a shared folder is open, files stacked in that binder or container may be lost.
This issue does not occur under the following conditions.
- Operations on local drive
Tentative countermeasure
If you are using an affected version of DocuWorks 9 and are unable to apply DocuWorks 9 update 9.0.5 promptly, please be sure to change the following settings. This change must be made for each user account.
- Start DocuWorks Desk, then run DocuWorks Settings from File menu to display Preferences screen.
- Under DocuWorks Desk Options, select Document Operation and set [Edit in Network Folder] to [Edit Directly].
- Select [OK] or [Apply] to update settings.
