National FUJIFILM DMS COVID Management Plan

 

 

1. Introduction

 

Fujifilm Data Management Solutions Pty Ltd, including its subsidiary Fujifilm Data Management Solutions Australia Pty Ltd (Fujifilm DMS) are committed to the ongoing production and sales operations in Australia while adhering to the instructions of the Australian Government and associated authorities with regard to the ongoing management of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

The first priority at Fujifilm DMS is the health and safety of our workers, our clients and their customers and we continue to take proactive company-wide precautionary measures against the COVID-19 virus.  The minimum standards for managing the risks of COVID-19 have been recommended by the Australian Government Public Health authorities and further localised by State and Territory authorities.

 

Fujifilm DMS will manage the risks of COVID-19 entering our workplaces and consider all reasonably practicable methods to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission within our business.

 

This COVID management plan is regularly reviewed and updated based on current or new information and government guidelines. Where there are more onerous requirements that apply to the relevant site under the applicable State/Territory COVID 19 requirements, then the relevant State/Territory requirements apply to the applicable site.

 

 

2. Staff Obligations

 

All staff are obliged to do the following:

 

  • If exhibiting flu-like symptoms, it is recommended to get tested and stay home until symptoms clear.
  • Staff must not attend either Fujifilm DMS or its client’s work premises if they have flu-like symptoms or test positive to coronavirus (COVID-19).
  • Where staff test positive to COVID-19, they are required to notify Fujifilm DMS. Some States/Territories also mandate notification obligations– please refer to the relevant section in the Appendix regarding the applicable State/Territory.
  • Asymptomatic positive cases will also be required to wear masks where physical distancing cannot be achieved.
  • Employees deemed as being a close contact to a positive case of Covid-19 must also notify Fujifilm DMS immediately.
  • Close contacts are permitted to attend Fujifilm DMS sites subject to no flu-like symptoms and will be requested to wear a mask (for 7 days from the date of exposure to the confirmed case). However, where there are more onerous requirements under the applicable State/Territory requirements, then the relevant State/Territory requirements apply.

 

2.1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The wearing of PPE (such as masks) is highly recommended when in certain situations such as indoor settings where physical distancing cannot be maintained or in densely populated work areas. Check with site rules as consulted and advised locally. Check with your local HR/WHS Representative or line manager.

 

 

3. Current Measures

 

A great number of measures have been implemented since the beginning of the Pandemic and continue to be reviewed and/or reinforced.

  • Knowing how the COVID-19 virus is spread.
  • An understanding of who is more vulnerable to COVID-19 and how to apply measures for their safety.
  • A clear understanding for all staff on company process to be followed if you:
    • test positive for COVID-19
    • have been deemed a close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • Providing communication to staff and keeping them informed via noticeboards, toolbox talks and email.
  • National COVID Management Plan with local State/Territory Covid-19 requirements detailed in the appendix.
  • Information provided (where available) in languages where English is a second language, via internet resources.
  • Employee Assistance Program Service offered.
  • Flu Vaccinations provided.
  • An SMS messaging system has been set up so
    Fujifilm DMS is able to contact all staff with any updates or important announcements.
Hygiene, Wellbeing and Physical Distancing measures
  • Communicating with staff on maintaining personal hygiene (such as hand washing and cough etiquette).
  • Provision of hand sanitiser.

 

 

4. Visitors & Contractors

 

All visitors and contractors are required to comply with site requirements (see Appendix for State/Territory requirements). These will be made available at the points of entry at all FUJIFILM DMS sites.

 

Key points are:

 

  • Do not come to site if displaying flu-like symptoms.
  • The wearing of masks for positive case (asymptomatic) or a close contact (no symptoms).
  • Persons who have recently been at our site, such as a worker, client or contractor are required to inform FUJIFILM DMS if they have, or had COVID-19 whilst on a FUJIFILM DMS site.

 

 

5. Workers return to work following recovery from COVID-19

 

Workers who have taken leave or worked from home throughout their recovery from Covid-19 must notify their line manager of their intention to return to the workplace. They must be free of COVID-19 associated symptoms and meet the relevant and applicable site requirements, if any, as well as any applicable State or Territory government directives (see appendix).

 

 

Appendix – State and Territory Specific COVID-19 Rules

State / Territory Rules Last update
New South Wales Changes to self-isolation rules from 14 October 2022.

  • No longer mandatory to self-isolate at home if you test positive to COVID-19.
  • To reduce the risk to others, NSW Health recommends:
    • People who are sick or have tested positive to Covid-19 to stay home until their acute symptoms have gone.
    • Wear a mask when indoors and on public transport.
    • Avoid large gatherings and indoor crowded places.
    • Register the positive rapid antigen test (RAT) with Service NSW to connect to care and support.
    • Notify your employer and verify with FUJIFILM DMS when you should return to the workplace and any additional precautions required to protect others in the workplace.

Victoria
  • From 13 October 2022, Victorians will no longer be required to isolate after testing positive to COVID-19.
  • 5 days isolation for positive cases is strongly recommended.
  • While isolating, you should tell people and places you may have been in contact with and share the Checklist for COVID-19 Contacts.
  • If you have tested positive using a rapid antigen test (RAT) you should report your result to the Department of Health online or by calling 1800 675 398.
  • Close contacts are strongly recommended to continuously testing negative on a rapid antigen test and wear a mask when indoors.
  • Positive cases and close contacts are recommended to wear a mask for at least 7 days, when leaving home and/or physical distancing is unachievable. 

Every Victorian business or organisation, with on-site operations, must still keep a COVID Safe Plan at their workplace and should be regularly reviewed.

Queensland
  • From 6 p.m. Monday 31 October, there are no longer any Public Health Directions in effect.
  • From 14 October 2022, it is no longer mandatory to self-isolate at home if you test positive to COVID-19.
  • To enhance personal safety, the Queensland Government has introduced the traffic light system:
    • Green (baseline) means there are low rates of community transmission and Queensland is not in a COVID-19 wave.
      • When the traffic light is green, you should stay home if you’re sick, keep up to date with your vaccinations, maintain good hygiene, take a RAT if you get COVID-19 symptoms, and wear a mask if a place you’re visiting asks you to.
      • If you get COVID-19, you should register your RAT result, stay home until you’re well again, wear a mask for 7 days after you test positive, and ask household members to closely monitor for symptoms.
    • Amber (Tier 1) means there are moderate rates of community transmission and Queensland is coming off a wave or may be entering a new wave.
      • When the traffic light is amber, you should follow the advice for the green traffic light; and
      • Wear a mask in healthcare settings, in doors where you can’t socially distance and on public transport; and
      • Take a RAT if you get COVID-19 symptoms or every 2 days if someone in your household has COVID-19.
    •  Red (Tier 2) means there are high rates of community transmission and Queensland is entering or in a COVID-19 wave.
      • When the traffic light is red, you should follow all of the advice at given for the amber and green traffic lights; and
      • Wear a mask indoors, even if you can socially distance.
  • If you have symptoms or have tested positive to COVID-19, Queensland Health strongly recommends:
    • Stay at home to isolate until you no longer have acute respiratory symptoms until:
      • your symptoms have substantially reduced, and
      • you have gone for at least 24 hours without a fever (without using fever-reducing medications such as paracetamol or ibuprofen).
    • Wear a face mask in an indoor setting, and if you are unable to physically distance outside, for at least 7 days after testing positive to COVID-19.
  • You are a close contact if you live with a person that has COVID-19 or you have been with a person that has COVID-19 for more than four hours in a house or other accommodation. Close contacts should, for at least 5 days following the person’s positive COVID-19 test:
    • wear a mask in indoor settings and/or if unable to physically distance outside.
    • Monitor for any acute respiratory symptoms for at least a week from the date of the positive COVID-19 test.
    • work or study from home, where feasible and with the agreement of your workplace.

Western Australia
  • From 14 October 2022, COVID-19 mandatory isolation requirements have been removed.
  • Western Australia’s State of Emergency and the Public Health State of Emergency will come to an end 12:01am Friday, 4 November 2022.
  • Mask wearing will still be required for high-risk settings such as hospitals, healthcare settings, facilities for corrective services, residential aged care and disability service.
  • Mask wearing is encouraged in crowded indoor spaces and where physical distancing is not possible.
  • Individuals who test positive to COVID-19 are recommended to:
    • Stay at home until symptoms have resolved. A minimum of 5 days is a useful guide, but it can be 10 days or longer.
    • Tell your close contacts
    • Register your positive rapid antigen test (RAT) with the Department of Health.

South Australia
  • From 14 October 2022, South Australians who test positive to COVID-19 will no longer have a legal requirement to isolate.
  • To protect others in our community, anyone with symptoms is encouraged to take steps to stop the spread of disease by:
    • Continuing to get tested and stay at home until symptoms have cleared.
    • Positive cases should:
      • Stay at home until your acute symptoms have cleared (usually 5 to 7 days)
      • If you must leave the house wear a mask when indoors or on public transport
      • Avoid large gatherings and crowded indoor places.
      • Speak with your employer when to return to work.
    • Close contacts should:
      • Monitor for symptoms.
      • Wear a mask when in indoor places and on public transport.
      • Frequent rapid antigen testing to help identify an infection early.
      • Notify your employer that you are a close contact.
      • Following these close contact guidelines for at least 7 days.

Australian Capital Territory
  • From 14 October 2022, it is no longer mandatory for individuals who test positive to COVID-19 to isolate.
  • Individuals who are diagnosed with COVID-19 must report their positive RAT result using the online registration form.
  • Individuals testing positive to COVID-19 should:
    • stay at home and take steps to protect those around you such as maintaining appropriate separation from other people in the household.
    • wear a mask when in indoor public places or using public transport if you need to leave the house.
    • avoid attending large gatherings or crowded indoor places
    • check their workplace policies for COVID-19 and talk to employers about when they should return to the workplace.
  • Close contacts are recommended to:
    • monitor closely for symptoms.
    • if can, wear a mask on public transport and in indoor spaces that are not their own home.
    • test regularly using a RAT.

Northern Territory
  • From 11 November, there are no Chief Health Officer Directions.
  • From 14 October, it is no longer mandatory for individuals who test positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Territory to self-isolate.
  • For individuals who test positive, they should declare the positive test result. It is also recommended that they stay at home if unwell, even if symptoms are mild and to wear a mask indoors and outdoors where social distancing is not possible.
  • Close contacts are recommended to monitor for cold and flu symptoms and take RAT if you get sick to help identify the infection early.

Tasmania
  • From 14 October 2022, individuals testing positive to COVID -19 will no longer be mandated to remain in isolation for 5 days.
  • Individuals who have tested positive on a RAT are recommended to stay home until the acute symptoms have resolved, and wear a mask when indoors and on public transport if you must leave the house, avoid large gatherings and indoor crowded places for at least seven day and  they should notify the workplace, close contacts and Public Health by completing the online declaration form.
  • A close contact may be anyone who has stayed overnight in the same premises as a case during their infectious period, or anyone who has spent more than four hours (over a 24-hour period) in a residential setting with a case during their infectious period.
  • Close contacts are recommended to:
    • Wear a face mask in any indoor space and on public transport for seven days after your last contact with the case.
    • Stay at home and test immediately if you have any symptoms, even mild.
    • Stay at home while you have symptoms.
    • Avoid large gatherings where physical distancing is not possible.
