History of FUJIFILM Electronic Materials
- FUJIFILM Electronic Materials was formed in 2004 through the acquisition of the Arch Chemicals electronic materials business and the remaining 49% share of a long-standing joint venture founded in 1983 between Fujifilm and Hunt Chemicals (which became part of Olin, and then became Arch Chemicals).
- In 2010 FUJIFILM Electronic Materials acquired all shares of CMP joint venture Planar Solutions and integrated the company under FUJIFILM Electronic Materials U.S.A., Inc. (FEUS).
- In December 2015 FEUS acquired high-purity solvent manufacturer Ultra Pure Solutions Inc., which became FUJIFILM Ultra Pure Solutions.
- In 2016 Fujifilm acquired Wako Pure Chemical Industries. The electronic materials business of Wako, focused on post-CMP cleans and etchants, became part of FUJIFILM Electronic Materials in 2019.
- Today FUJIFILM Electronic Materials is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and has grown significantly worldwide, with 11 locations, to $1.2B in FY2021 sales.
