Düsseldorf, 24.08.2024 - FUJIFILM Europe GmbH participates in the charity rowing regatta "Düsseldorf am Ruder" in Düsseldorf's Media Harbour this year. This inspiring initiative serves as a beacon of hope and support for individuals battling cancer.
Fujifilm aims to support cancer patients and strengthen the link between the healthcare sector and the community and does so through its participation in the "Dusseldorf am Ruder" initiative. This initiative, which has reached its 8th edition, sends a powerful message that cancer should not be a taboo and that an active and fulfilling life is possible.
Fujifilm is on the water with 4 boats in the media harbour. The first two, made up of two exceptional teams, "Semicolon", a network for people with Lynch syndrome and hereditary bowel cancer, and "Rynkeby", the largest European cycling initiative focused on cancer research in children and young people. The other two boats are mixed groups of colleagues from the Fujifilm European headquarters in Ratingen, who are eager to make their contribution.
Yoshiki Kimura, President and CEO of FUJIFILM Europe GmbH, praises the initiative and shares his thoughts on Fujifilm's commitment:
The event will be held at the Düsseldorf Media Harbour on August 24, 2024. Experts from Fujifilm Healthcare will be present at the Fujifilm booth from 9:00 to 18:00 to provide information on healthcare topics and other corporate initiatives. You will also be able to take instax instant photos and take home the memory of a beautiful day of community commitment.
The proceeds from the rowing event will be used to support the work of the North Rhine-Westphalia Cancer Society (Krebsgesellschaft Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V.). The non-profit organisation is a contact point for cancer. This applies both to strengthening preventative healthcare so that fewer people fall ill and to providing direct help if cancer is diagnosed. Here, the Krebsgesellschaft NRW e.V. offers free counselling and support.
