In 2022, the company relocated from Düsseldorf to Ratingen, marking a new beginning and a clear commitment to the headquarters and the broader region.

Initially a pioneer in analog photography, the Japanese Fujifilm Corporation successfully reinvented itself as a high-tech company in various fields, from medical imaging and IT to advanced printing systems and electronic materials.

With approximately 300 employees, Fujifilm Europe plays a crucial role, also stimulating the operations of its five other locations in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Committed to environmental, social responsibility and governance (ESG) issues, Fujifilm is dedicated to achieving zero CO2 emissions by 2040, ten years ahead of EU’s goal of reaching climate neutrality by 2050.

North Rhine-Westphalia has provided a fertile environment for Fujifilm's growth and innovation, playing a crucial role in the company's success. State-of-the-art infrastructure, a favorable economic climate, and a rich pool of professional talents in the region have provided the necessary resources for continuous growth and innovation.

The NRW Global Business Award marks this year its 20th anniversary, since its establishment, it has been assigned to individual companies or multiple companies for their exemplary commitment in North Rhine-Westphalia and their contribution to economic development and competitiveness of the state.
