Since their development in 1962 FUJINON lenses offer more than a half a century of technological development while earning an Emmy Award for Technology, one of the most prestigious awards given in the broadcast industry. The advanced lens manufacturing technology cultivated in that process is applied to the SX series. By making full use of precision processing technology that polishes the lens surface with nano-level accuracy. Mechanical design and assembly technology precisely arranges multiple lens groups and incorporates them into housings which produce ultra high definition images that have super telephoto range.
Fujifilm's X Series digital cameras have provided the path for the way a digital camera should perform in order to achieve the highest image quality without missing a decisive moment. The advanced imaging and processing technology created in this series has been integrated into the SX series. This combination of technological advancements helps the SX series provide clear images in a wide range of environments required by industrial cameras. Shooting at telephoto ranges often provide challenges such as vibration on high altitude installations and atmospheric conditions such as heat haze or fog. The SX series corrects these conditions in real time using the most advanced correction algorithms and high speed processing engine.
Super telephoto
The SX800 covers a wide range of focal lengths, from 20mm wide-angle to 800mm telephoto (1600mm telephoto when using digital zoom), and SX1600 covers a wide range of focal lengths from 40mm wide-angle to 1600mm telephoto (3200mm telephoto when using digital zoom). You can choose a product with a suitable coverage range according to your application.
In addition, since the optical axis shift is suppressed, you can capture the target accurately while using super-telephoto.
High-performance image stabilization
The combination of optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) helps accurately compensate for image blur caused by the wind or vibration. The SX1600 coordinates and controls these to help compensate for a wider range of vibration frequencies.
Shooting in the dark
The high-sensitivity sensor and high noise reduction effect enable you to shoot clear images with little noise even in low-light shooting environments.
High speed AF system
The "rear focus system" that drives the small-diameter lens in the rear lens group at high speed is adopted, realizing high-speed AF with a minimum autofocus time of about 0.1 seconds. By combining the "image plane phase detection AF" and "contrast AF" methods, it automatically switches to the optimal AF setting.
Fog reduction
Image processing technology compensates for heat haze caused by temperature differences in the air as well as fog caused by water droplets and dust floating in the air. This helps mitigate these atmospheric conditions to help achieve clearer images. The built-in visible cut filter "black glass" makes it possible to shoot with near-infrared light that travels in a straight line so you can achieve better images in the most challenging environments.
